Los Angeles, California

This Parisian designer’s eponymous US flagship store is tucked into a small storefront on Los Angeles’ famous shopping street, Melrose Place. The interior is composed of carefully selected complementary raw materials. Italian granite floors turn up into a central curved stone centerpiece, while a large solid brass backdrop and custom-designed brass fixtures line the walls adjacent to blue display panels with embedded lighting. These all float beneath a hand-selected German yellow elm ceiling. In the middle of the space, mirroring the central stone element with its living interior garden, is a large elliptical skylight which was cut away from the original structure to allow sunlight to penetrate the space.
